Our Divisions Overview
The Student Government Association is a collection of divisions, each of which has a specific aspect of student life that their work specializes in. Under these divisions are different committees and boards that focus on achieving student-focused goals at Northeastern. Learn more about each by clicking on them below!
Divisions
Office of the President
The Office of the President oversees the rest of the divisions at a high level as well as interfaces with administrators.
Academic Affairs
The Academic Affairs division serves as a link between students, faculty, and administration regarding all academic matters.
Campus Affairs
The Campus Affairs division is dedicated to creating a more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable campus for all.
Student Success
The Student Success division works to improve the life of all students on campus. It deals with issues relating to dining, housing, campus medical and mental health services, and more.
External Affairs
The External Affairs team deals with external outreach for the organization, including communications & events, intracollegiate affairs, and the Boston Intercollegiate Government.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Divison is responsible for creating an overall safer space for all members of the Northeastern community through a variety of DEI related initiatives.
Finance
The Finance Division is responsible for allocating the Student Activity Fee to student organizations for specific events and annual budgets.
Student Involvement
The Student Involvement Division serves as the Student Government Association’s official liaison to student organizations. The division also advises the Center for Student Involvement in matters regarding student organizations.
Elections
The Elections Division determines the policies, procedures, and communications efforts for all student body-wide elections. In addition, the Committee deals with civic engagement efforts on campus.
