Student Organization Resources

SGA enjoys collaborating and supporting the many different clubs and organizations at Northeastern University. Here are some resources for clubs and organizations and for students interested in creating new clubs and organizations.

Starting A New Student Organization

If you are interested in starting a new student organization (undergraduates only), please submit your application to the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) via Engage. The New Student Organization Proposal Form is typically accepting applications towards the end of each semester. For more info, contact CSI or the SGA Division of Student Involvement (DSI).

Constitution Revisions And Name Change

A constitution serves as an organization’s primary governing document and details the organization’s mission, executive board position duties and responsibilities, election process, membership, and other procedures. All organizations are required to publish the most recent version of their constitution on their Engage page, available to view at all times. Constitutions must adhere to policies outlined in the Student Organization Policy (SOP) Manual and ideally follow the constitution template. If you cannot find your organization’s constitution, please contact the SGA Division of Student Involvement.

Collaborating With SGA

If your organization is interested in collaborating with SGA on a specific project, we are always looking for more advocates on campus to work with! You can reach out directly to the member of SGA leadership whose specialty most aligns with your project, or you can contact us using this link.

Center for Student Involvement

The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) is the campus office that supports all SGA recognized student organizations. All organizations are assigned a CSI Program Manager who can support them with event management, room reservations, purchasing, and more. Visit the CSI website for more info.

Feedback & Complaints

In case of any conflict among or within student organizations, please contact the Division of Student Involvement or complete the Anonymous Feedback + Complaints form. We welcome feedback of any and all kinds via this form too!
