Referenda Submissions


Referenda submissions are now open
for the 2026 Student Body Election season. The deadline for submissions is February 24, 2026 at 11:59pm EST.

Timeline:

Referenda submission opens: January 13th, 2026

Referenda form closes: February 24th, 2026

Referenda Town Hall: March 3rd, 2026 at 7PM (TBD)

Referenda are to be vetted by the Student Government Association Executive Board using the following criteria: adherence to Northeastern policies/legality and fairness of wording. In the case that there are more than 5 referenda approved by the Executive Board, the proposals will then be passed forward for voting by the Senate on which 5 will appear on the ballot. More information about the details of the referenda process can be found in the SGA Bylaws Article V Section C.

The Referenda Towen Hall is an event designed to introduce submitted referenda to the Student Body and provide an open forum for discussion, questions, and feedback.
